Cyan Pickup and Delivery Quick Start Guide (Bluetooth connection)

(info) This guide assumes you have a Omnitracs MCP with a Bluetooth adapter for your Cyan data connection. Cyan my also connect via WiFi and cellular.

Getting Started

  • Power on your handheld by pushing the power on button located on the top right of your unit
  • Check battery icon on the device screen display and crosscheck “charged” power level
  • Tap the yellow icon titled Pickup & Delivery

Login

  • A dark blue-green top bar will indicate you are wirelessly connected to your Omnitracs (Qualcomm unit)
  • An orange top bar will indicate you are NOT connected to your Omnitracs (Qualcomm unit).  Make sure you’re within 15 fit of your cab and click the Try Connect button.  If Orange bar persists, contact your supervisor
  • Tap in box and use virtual keyboard to enter Driver ID then touch Login button
  • Your Manifest should now be available in your Inbox.
    • If not, leave your device powered on in cab and conduct your pre-trip inspection.  When complete, check to see if you’re Manifest is now available. If still not available, contact your supervisor

Start Manifest/Stop

  • See a preview of your Manifest by clicking the down arrow
  • When you’re ready to begin your first stop, click the orange arrow
  • Click Next to proceed thru the workflow or Back to go back to the Home screen
     

Order Confirmation

  • Click in the box titled Actual and enter your Piece Count.  Then either click Next on virtual keyboard or tap anywhere outside of keyboard
  • Enter any optional Notes or Photos (if applicable) by clicking the matching button
  • If applicable, take an image of your BOL document by clicking the Docs button
  • When your order is complete, click the box to the left of the Order # and Click Next

 

Close Stop

  • Whenever possible, get customer signature for the Order by allowing customer to review total screen, then Click Sign button for them. 
  • Enter their First and Last Name, then hand device for them to sign
  • Click Save, then Click Done on Review Totals screen
  • Confirm Departure

 

End of Day

  • When all stops have been completed, your Manifest will disappear from your list
  • If this is the end of your day, click the 3 lines in the upper right of the screen and choose Logout
     

 

 

Other helpful hints

  • If for some reason you need to cancel a Stop, there is an Omit Stop option in the upper right of the very first screen after you open the Stop.  Click this and provide a reason for cancellation.
  • Also, the menu option in the upper right of the Order Details screen provides the ability to “Add Pickup”, “Add Delivery”, or “Add Return”. 
  • The Info icon in the upper left of most screens will always display details about the Stop
  • When you’re wirelessly connected to your Omnitracs MCP (Qualcomm), your header bar will be a solid dark blue-green color.  The header bar will turn orange if you are not connected.  To try and re-establish connectivity, click the Try Connect button from your Home (In) view..
     
  • If your device is locked or frozen, press and hold the power button for approximately 8 seconds until the computer restarts.
