Installing Bluetooth Adapter on a MCP 110/200

The purpose of this document is to provide an installer with instructions on how to physically install the required vehicle accessories to support the Bluetooth connection to a Omnitracs MCP 110/200. This guide assumes that the Omnitracs MCP has already been installed in the truck and is in a working state.  Installing the Omnitracs MCP itself is beyond the scope of this guide, please refer to the appropriate Omnitracs MCP Installation guide.

The MCP must be running firmware version AA1615R or greater. To check the firmware version, select Home - System - Version

Connecting the Adapter to the MCP

Once the Omnitracs equipment and related wiring is successfully installed, the Bluetooth Adapter can be connected to the Omnitracs MCP. 

  1. Install the MCP110/200 unit per the MCP110/200 Installation guide.
  2. Connect all standard cables for normal MCP110/200 use.
  3. Connect the USB (for power) and Serial cables (for communications) into the ports shown above.
  4. Place the QR Code label in a accessible location in the truck. The driver will need label to pair the tablet with the Bluetooth adapter.
