Cyan Sync Failure - Sync failed: null
Problem
Cyan application sync is reporting a failure. The sync details may report "Sync failed: null"
The Cyan Engine should have the follow error message:
[ERROR][main][SyncOrchestratorService] Sync failed: null java.lang.NullPointerException
Solution
In most cases you'll need to force stop cyan and clear the application cache data. If that does not resolve the issue, clear all data.
We strongly recommend making a backup copy of all files in folder \sdcard\BlueDot before clearing any data.
- Open Device Settings - Application Manager
- Select Cyan
- Select Force Stop
- Select Clear cache
- Re-open Cyan and try the sync again.
To clear all application data:
- Open Device Settings - Application Manager
- Select Cyan
- Select Force Stop
- Select Clear Data
- Re-open Cyan and try the sync again.
Clearing all application data will remove Cyan connection settings. If you do not know your connection setting, please contact Blue Dot Support at support@bluedotsolutions.com. This does not happen when clearing the application cache.
After trying these solutions, if you continue to see sync failures please contact Blue Dot Support at support@bluedotsolutions.com
