Advanced Mobile EAM Adapter reset

You may need to reset Adv Mobile (AM) adapters when data is missing from Adv Mobile or if you've refreshed your EAM data or upgraded EAM to a new version. In the example below, we are resetting the Work Order adapter, however, the process is the same for all adapters.

You'll need to stop the Adv Mobile Integration scheduled task on your Adv Mobile web server (Start - Control Panel - Administrative Tools - Task Scheduler) before resetting any adapters. The running status on all adapters should be false before resetting any data. If you are an Adv Mobile hosted customer, please contact Blue Dot Support at support@bluedotsolutions.com

If you have refreshed your EAM database, you'll need to re-run the Adv Mobile EAM Grid script on the EAM database. See Implementing Oracle or SQL EAM Grid Scripts for instructions. Make sure you run Retrieve Dataspys on the Adv Mobile Setting page before running the procedure below.

Step-by-step guide

  1. Login to Adv Mobile admin portal (http://<YourServerName>/AdvMobileEam)
  2. Select Modules  - Work Management
  3. Check "Pause Auto-Refresh"
  4. Select all or select the adapter that you want to reset.
  5. Enter today's date for "Start date" on Configure integration section. Then select "Full Adapter Reset for Selected Adapters"

    DO NOT enter 1/1/1900 for Start Date 


  6. Select the checkbox for adapter that you reset and click "Execute Selected Adapters
  7. The reset may take a few minutes to run. You'll know when its complete when the status column displays "False" and the Last Sync Anchor column has the current date and time.
  8. Once completed, run a reinitialize sync on the device(s).  
  9. Re-enabled the schedule task.


Note: If you're resetting Equipment History or Meter History adapter, you may want to set the date to 30 or 60 days in the past. Setting that date more than 60 days can cause EAM to slow or crash.
