HTTP 400 error during init sync on device
Problem
Device shows 400 Bad Request error when syncing.
There should be a corresponding error in the AdvancedMobileWOM.short log on the server. Error: System.UnauthorizedAccessException: Access to the registry key 'HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Microsoft SQL Server Compact Edition\v3.5' is denied.
Solution
- Add app pool user to local admin group.
- Run IISRESET in Powershell or CMD.
- Re-sync device.
