Pairing with MCP100/200

This procedure will only work on an MCP100/200 with a Bluetooth dongle provided by Blue Dot Solutions.

Before any devices can successfully sync through an MCP using Extended Productivity, the customer must complete two important steps:

  1. Subscribe and accept associated terms and conditions for Extended Productivity via Omnitracs Customer Portal
  2. Configure Operational Profile to specify which groups of MCP UA #’s you would like the Extended Productivity application applied to

Step-by-step guide

  1. Connect the Bluetooth dongle on your MCP (DB25 Null Modem cable -> MCP DB25 Connector)
  2. On your Android Device, go to Setting - Connections - Bluetooth
(info) Some devices will have a different path to bluetooth settings
  3. Enable Bluetooth
  4. You should see the CYAN bluetooth device in the Available devices list.
    1. If you have several MCP's, reference the CYAN label on the Bluetooth device. The label will be the word "CYAN" followed by a number
  5. On your Andriod Device, tap Bluetooth device that you wish to pair with.
  6.  If prompted for a password, enter 1234 or 0000
  7. You should now see a Paired status on your Android device.
