Cyan Engine Settings
The following is an overview of all Cyan Engine settings for Android.
- To get to engine settings, start the Cyan Engine and click Menu - Settings.
Some devices have a hardware menu button in the lower left corner of the device. If you device does not, the menu button will be located in the upper right corner of the screen.
- If the Cyan application is already running, go to the login screen - Menu (upper right) - About - Go to Cyan Registration - Menu - Settings.
- To Save and Exit Setting, press the hardware back button or the Cyan icon in the upper left if no hardware back button is present on the device.

Username | Username for accessing Cyan API | %tenantaccesskey%-engine. Example: If the tenant access key is "t123", then the username will be "t123-engine" You may also login as your portal user, however this should be a temporary setting. Do Not setup multiple engines with a personal account. If you want to create a new account please see Creating User Accounts for instructions. | ||||

Always Download App Package | This forces the engine to re-download the Cyan application every time the Cyan Engine is ran. If this settings is enabled it will increase the Cyan Engine start up time. New application versions are always downloaded. | Disabled | ||||
Auto-Launch Single App Package | Automatically launch app if there is a single app package. If this setting is disabled and the Cyan Device Group have multiple apps or versions assigned to it, then the user will be prompted to select an application. | Enabled | ||||
App Selection Filter | Filters app selection to items that match the filter. This is only need if your running multiple cyan apps. The filter is a regular expression. Please contact support@bluedotsolutions.com for help. | null | ||||

Network Sync Interval (Minutes) | This sets how often the Cyan Engine will synchronize with the server and download new data. | 5 | ||||
Reachability Timeout (milliseconds) | Timeout for determining if the application has sufficient network resources to initiate online registration/validation. | 5000 | ||||
Allow WiFi Connections | Whether the Cyan application should operate online if the device's active network connection is WiFi. | Enabled | ||||
Allow Mobile Connections | Whether the Cyan application should operate online if the device's active network connection is cellular data network. The use of cellular data may incur additional charges, depending on your carrier/plan. | Enabled | ||||
Allow Roaming Connections | Whether the Cyan application should operate online if the device's active network connection is roaming connection. The use of roaming connections may incur additional charges, depending on your carrier/plan. | Disabled | ||||
Allow Slow Connections | Whether the Cyan application should operate online if the device's active network connection is a low-bandwidth data connection. The use of slow connections may result in excessive communication attempts and failures, which may incur additional charges, depending on your carrier/plan. | Disabled | ||||

Snapshot Page Size | Page size to use when generating the snapshot. This value may need to be tweaked depending on the document size. | 10000 | ||||
