Advanced Mobile EAM Sync Error: System.IO.IOException

Problem

Error when running a reinit sync in Advanced Mobile EAM:

System.IO.IOException: Illegal operation attempted on a registry key that has been marked for deletion.

Solution

You need to disable a Windows User Profile Service feature as follows.

On the Advanced Mobile app server:

  1. Go to Group Policy Editor (gpedit.msc)
  2. Then Computer Config -> Admin Templates -> System -> User Profiles
  3. For the "Do not forcefully unload the user registry at user logoff", change the setting from "Not Configured" to "Enabled"
